I am currently employed by the Unversity of California, Merced as a Programmer / Analyst II. My responsibilities include:
- Generate reports using Oracle and Coldfusion. Various student information, by choice of the user, is pulled from the Oracle database using Coldfusion and displayed for administrative purposes.
- Program rich user interfaces using Coldfusion, HTML, and JavaScript. I will design anything from a login screen to a website navigation.
- Debug Coldfusion and Oracle source code. A majority of UC Mercedʼs web application source code comes from other universities and it doesnʼt always come in working condition. I must debug it, document it, and get it working correctly.
- Run security tests on web applications and code by attempting to gain unauthorized entrance to certain locations or perform certain activities with underprivileged user roles.
